This tutorial will introduce you to the basics of downloading and installing Winzip, which is especially useful for unzipping Neopet's backgrounds for use in graphics. Winzip is a program that allows you to 'zip' or 'unzip' files. If a file is large, a site will zip a file to reduce bandwidth when users download it. All you need to know is the file you want is currently zipped, meaning you cannot use it in its current form, and it needs to be unzipped so you can use it. Winzip is your key to accomplishing this.
The first step is actually downloading Winzip. Head on over to Winzip.com and click 'Try Now'.
Another page will come up, requiring you to click 'Try Now' once more.
Now, making sure the 'download.com' option is selected, click 'Download Winzip 10 now'.
A box will pop up asking what you would like to do with the download. Hit save, and put it somewhere you can easily find it.
After it has finished downloading, go to where you saved the file. Double-click it when you find it.
Follow the directions on screen to install it. After you have finished, open it up. You will be given the screen below, click 'Evaluation Version'.

Now, click Extract from the top menu.
By double clicking, navigate through your folders until you find where you want to save the unzipped file.
