Dropshadow

This tutorial will teach you how to create the dropshadow effect in Paint Shop Pro, such as the one below.

First, open the image you want to put your text on. Then, select the text tool.

Select your font style and size from the top bar. Make sure you have 'Floating' selected.

Click anywhere on the image, and a box will pop up. Type in your text, and hit 'OK'.

Now go to Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow.

A box like the one below will pop up. Offset (Vertical/Horizonatal) effects where the shadow falls. Remember, you CAN use negative numbers with this! Opacity changes how dark the colour is; the lower the number here, the lighter your shadow will be. Blur effects how blurry the shadow is - a 1.00 blur is straight lines, whereas a 4.00 blur is softer. To change the colour, click on the current colour and select one from the box that appears. Click OK when you're done.

Now, choose the selection tool and right-click anywhere on the image to unselect.

You're done!
